Color Alliance (CA), based in Vlotho, East Westfalia-Lippe, Germany, tries out, tests and certifies printing media and makes ICC profiles available.
As a global alliance it unites the leading international RIP and printing media manufacturers. The aim of the close collaboration is to simplify production processes in the field of large format (L-XXL) inkjet printing and to boost productivity and process reliability for printing service providers and end users. The basis is a standardised coating, which drastically reduces the number of colour profiles and ensures the colour accuracy of inkjet prints.

In Large Format Printing good production results depend on many different factors, ranging from the printer, print settings and the ink system, the RIP and coating to the printing medium and the colour profile uses. The fact that printing service providers, dealers, print buyers and end users in the field of large format inkjet printing (L to XXL) can nevertheless run processes reliably with HEYTEX® sign media ist thue to the fact that the HEYTex® sign base fabrics supplied as CA media are all tested and evaluated by Color Alliance.
What are »CA certified« media?
The entire HEYTex® sign product range has been tried, tested and classified as »CA certified« or »CA approved«. All inkjet media classified as »CA certified« media feature the same standardised CA-coating. The comprehensive CA-concept integrates them into a workflow, which takes in everything from manufacture to ready end product. This development means that colour commitment and reproducibility can be ensured anywhere in the world.
What are »CA approved« media?
In order to provide the same assurance of process reliability for the other well-established HEYTex® sign products these fabrics now bear the »CA approved« label. This means that although these digital inkjet media feature a different coating, they can be seamlessly integrated into the CA-workflow on the basis of specially adapted print profiles. All stages of the process, including coating, media and RIP, are then perfectly matched, thereby ensuring maximum process reliability, productivity and quality.
